Catering in Warsaw, cooked at the top of Skyliner

Catering for events at LookUp! Events is made on site: the venue’s own fully equipped kitchen sits at the top of the Skyliner tower at ul. Prosta 67, Warsaw, under chef Marcin Wojtczak. Villa Foksal and LookUp! Events are one company and one culinary team, so nothing is driven across town in thermal boxes. Menus are composed individually for each event.

01One company

One company, two addresses

This is not a partnership with an outside caterer. Villa Foksal and LookUp! Events are one company and one culinary team, working at two addresses: at Foksal street in the city centre, Villa Foksal runs its Garden Events & Catering restaurant with an orangery and a garden; at the top of Skyliner, the same team cooks for events at LookUp!. Villa Foksal is listed as the venue’s operator in the HD Awards 2024 competition documentation.

For an organiser this has a practical meaning: the kitchen is not a subcontractor to be separately contracted and coordinated. Menu, service and the room are planned with one host who answers for the whole evening. The restaurant itself lives at villafoksal.pl.

02The kitchen

Cooked upstairs, not driven in

Nothing arrives in thermal boxes. The venue’s own fully equipped kitchen sits at the top of the tower, a lift away from the room — dishes reach the table fresh and on time because the route is measured in minutes, not kilometres. The kitchen is not an add-on to the room hire; it is part of what the evening is. At live-cooking stations dishes are finished in front of guests and become part of the evening themselves.

Chef Marcin Wojtczak sets the tone. His team runs both the kitchen at Foksal and the service on floors 41–42 — from conference coffee breaks on continuous service to a seated gala dinner. For an organiser that means one contact and one line of responsibility instead of coordinating an outside caterer against the venue: the kitchen, the room and the service answer to the same team, and are planned in the same conversation.

03Menus

Menus composed for the event

Polish, European and contemporary cuisine, composed for the character of the evening rather than picked from a catalogue. Every menu is the chef’s own proposal for your event, not a template set carried from one booking to the next — the starting point is what the evening is for and who is in the room, and the dishes follow from there.

An elegant seated dinner, a festive buffet, live-cooking stations — or all of these across one event, following its agenda: coffee on continuous service through the working part, a lunch matched to the programme, and a different register again after dark. Vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free and lactose-free requirements are covered; say who your guests are while the menu is being composed and the kitchen builds around them, rather than bolting a substitute plate onto a fixed set.

04Every format

The same kitchen for every format

The same kitchen serves every format the venue runs. Coffee breaks on continuous service and agenda-matched lunches for conferences; seated dinners, buffets and gala service for corporate evenings; festive menus for company Christmas parties; and dinner and toasts for wedding receptions on the 42nd floor.

The kitchen scales with the space: 200 guests theatre-style on the 42nd floor — 200 in a banquet layout — and 100 people conference-style on the conference level, from an intimate dinner through to a full banquet. Whatever the format, the catering is part of one planned whole rather than a service booked alongside it: the same kitchen, the same service team and the same attention to detail, from the first conversation about the menu to the last toast of the evening.

05One address

The kitchen and the room under one roof

Everything happens at one address: Skyliner, ul. Prosta 67, Warsaw, floors 41–42 — directly at the Rondo Daszyńskiego M2 metro station. The kitchen works in the same building your guests sit in; what separates it from the room is a lift, not the city at rush hour.

For guests that makes it one of the best-connected addresses in Warsaw: the M2 metro exit is at the building, the offices of Wola are a few minutes away and the centre is not much further. The evening ends on the 42nd floor with the panorama, and the way home starts at the metro station next to the tower. For whoever is organising it, the arrangement has one more consequence: the kitchen and the event space are one team under one name, so the menu, the service and the room are planned together, in a single conversation, rather than assembled from three separate contracts.

06FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Does LookUp! Events have its own kitchen or external catering?

The venue has its own fully equipped kitchen on site, at the top of Skyliner. Menus are made there, not delivered, and chef Marcin Wojtczak of Villa Foksal sets the tone. Nothing arrives in thermal boxes — the route from the kitchen to the table is a lift ride, measured in minutes rather than kilometres.

Are Villa Foksal and LookUp! Events the same company?

Yes — one company and one culinary team at two addresses. Villa Foksal runs its Garden Events and Catering restaurant, with an orangery and a garden, at Foksal street in central Warsaw, and the same team cooks for events at LookUp! Events at the top of Skyliner. Villa Foksal is named as the venue’s operator in the HD Awards 2024 competition documentation.

Can menus be adapted to diets and preferences?

Yes. Vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free and lactose-free requirements are covered — say who your guests are when the menu is being composed and the kitchen builds around them, rather than adding a substitute plate to a fixed set. Every menu is composed for the individual event in any case.

What catering formats are possible during an event?

From an elegant seated dinner, through a festive buffet, to live-cooking stations where dishes are finished in front of guests and become part of the evening. Several formats can run across one event, following its agenda — coffee on continuous service through the working part, then a different register after dark.

How many guests can the catering serve?

The kitchen scales with the space: 200 guests theatre-style on the 42nd floor — 200 in a banquet layout — and 100 people conference-style on the conference level, from an intimate dinner through to a full banquet. Menus and service are planned for the headcount rather than scaled down from a standard set.
